Ordination June 27, 2020, St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church 10:30 AM

Post-ordination update: Thank you to all who joined us or prayed for us as we were ordained:

Bishop Joe Vasquez intends to ordain my five classmates and I to the priesthood on June 27, 2020.

UPDATE (6/17/2020): I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and prayers for me as I approach ordination. At this time, all the reserved seating that I have been allotted is full.  I wanted to reach out and let you know of this fact and to provide you with ways that you can still participate. You can find a live stream of the Mass at this site: https://op.godiscalling.me/ (it will go live at about 10:20 am on June 27). Please share this information with anyone who may be interested in participating virtually.

I will celebrate my first Mass at 11:00 AM on June 28th at St. Thomas Aquinas (College Station, live stream available here). I also plan to celebrate Masses of Thanksgiving at St. Mary’s (College Station), Our Lady of the Visitation (Lockhart), and St. Louis, King of France (Austin). You can find more information about these events (addresses, times, etc) below

If you plan to attend any of the Masses of Thanksgiving below I would appreciate it if you can RSVP using this form. (This just helps for planning given limitations imposed by COVID-19.)

God Bless and please pray for us!

UPDATE (6/15/2020) The Ordination, previously planned to be at St. William, will now be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church 9500 Neenah Ave, Austin, TX 78717.  It will be at the same time (10:30). My classmates and I have each been assigned a certain number of reserved seats for the ordination. Some limited general seating will be available as well, but we expect that it will be fairly tight because of the social distancing requirements. A live stream of the ordination will be available (I will post the link as soon as I know it).

Coronavirus update (4/1/2020): please pray that the ordination can go on as scheduled (and as a public event)

Gifts

Your prayerful presence alone at the ordination or at the Masses of Thanksgiving is a more than adequate gift. However, should you like to give a gift, contributions towards vestments (worn by the priest at liturgy), purchasing other needed items for liturgical use, and any other gifts (Deacon Will enjoys books, baking/cooking, and hiking) would be graciously accepted.
